Details Work in a Med/Surg unit at a 276-bed hospital Flex Pool position covering Medical Surgical and MS/Telemetry patients Patient ratio is 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7 during unplanned absences Night shift schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Every other weekend required PRN on-call required for low census Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities required Charting performed in Epic (experience required) Free parking available on-site Requirements Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered Current BLS certification (AHA only) required ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required Experience with telemetry, insulin management, and rapid response required Epic EMR experience required SSN and driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Pre-assignment orientation modules are completed before the start date (approximately 4 hours) All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs Royal blue scrubs required First-time travelers are accepted for this position Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September American Traveler Job ID P-688268.
