Job Title: BookkeeperJob Type: Regular Full Time (M-F 8:30am - 5:30pm)Career Status: ExecutiveCompensation (DOE): $60K-75KDepartment: Finance and AccountingExpected Travel: 0%Location: Local, On LocationReports to: President/CEOThe RoleThe Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting and recording all financial transactions, such as customer invoicing, financial agreements, payroll, monitoring receivables, paying bills, placing purchase orders, and maintaining an accurate inventory system and financial reporting. The Bookkeeper will also perform clerical and administrative functions such as customer service and recordkeeping, in addition to conducting financial transactions.What You'll DoTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develop system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts: defining bookkeeping policies and proceduresPost journal entries in the QuickBooks using ConnectWiseMaintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactionsManage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processesReview all accounts payable batches and monthly reports for validity, accuracy, and completeness and releasing the batches for paymentFollow-up, collection, and allocation of paymentsBalance general ledger by preparing a trial balance: reconciling entriesMaintain historical records by filing documentsPrepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trendsCollect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the governmentComply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actionsAssist in preparing all invoice types through an automated process in ConnectWise based on billing cycleAssist in processing employee time and expense reportsAssist with conducting credit checks on prospects and reporting results to managementMaintain customer financial information and status in ConnectWiseAssist with establishing customer agreements in ConnectWise that correspond to service or project contractsPerform other accounting activities as requiredMaintain the annual budgetPay supplier invoices in a timely mannerWho You AreAt MCG, our core values and culture's DNA are based on encouraging and rewarding team players that have high-energy, unbreakable positive attitude with the ability to develop strong relationships with the team, customers, and partners.
