Job Summary: This is an entry to an intermediate level in the Process Engineering group reporting to the Process Engineering Manager. This employee will support other Process Engineers in Process Development, Machine Integration & Equipment ordering. Assist with process documentation, machine evaluation, job handoff & training, color and material samples & continuous Improvement. Lower-level customer interaction. Ensures the proper set-up/start-up operation of assigned jobs. Ensure standards of quality and overall process of machines are met. Knowledge | Experience | Skills: High School Diploma or GED required, and Minimum 5 years of relevant injection molding experience. Requires an intermediate knowledge level of scientific molding & troubleshooting skills. Past introductory level scientific molding course completion required. RJG Master Molder 1 Certification highly recommended. If not MM1 certified, needs to have a willingness to obtain RJG Master Molder 1 Certification. Basic understanding of cavity pressure systems (RJG - eDART, Kistler - CoMo). Good communication and Interpersonal Skills. Ability to work under high pressure situations and timelines and maintain composure. Self-Motivated and able to follow directions well with minimal guidance and supervision. Team Player who conducts themselves in a Professional manner. Good documentation skills. Basic computer experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook). Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Supports process development through scientific molding principles and MAP development Supports machine and mold installation and integration Ensures all process-related documentation is accessible and in place. Supports machine evaluation testing. Interfaces with operations and supporting engineering departments (Process, Quality, Tooling, Automation) Supports various sampling activities with molds/materials/colors of new and existing products. Support continuous improvement activities within the plant. Assist Operations as needed to ensure all job changes are correctly started up; ex: cycle times, overall process of machines and automation. Some travel required Assist in the training for new mold setups. Assist other departments in coordination of mold repairs. On call for troubleshooting. Ensures that product meets established quality criteria.
