Manufacturing / Process Engineer – Battery ProductionLocation: Liberty, NC (Onsite 100%)Duration: Contract (12+ months with potential extension)Pay Rate: $62–$75/hourJob SummaryWe are seeking a Manufacturing / Process Engineer to support the development, installation, and launch of advanced battery production lines. This role will focus on process planning, equipment integration, and manufacturing system connectivity within a high-tech production environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in capital equipment projects, automation systems, and manufacturing operations, with the ability to work cross-functionally to meet project milestones.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and support process plans for battery production linesCoordinate equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and production launchSupport pre-production trials and ensure readiness for mass productionCollaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, vendors, and operationsLead and support equipment trials both at vendor sites and on the production floorSupport implementation of manufacturing systems including MES, Andon, and network connectivityConfigure and support PLC connectivity for manufacturing equipmentConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issuesTrack KPIs and support production performance improvementsCreate and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgetsProvide regular project updates to stakeholders and leadershipParticipate in cleanroom protocols and safety standards as requiredRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience supporting capital equipment projects from planning through production launchExperience with project scheduling and milestone trackingAbility to read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawingsProficiency with Microsoft Office toolsExperience with PLC systems (read, interpret, and modify)Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in battery manufacturing or advanced production environmentsFamiliarity with MES, SCADA, or manufacturing network systemsKnowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, etc.)Experience with AutoCAD or similar design toolsExposure to SQL or database systemsExperience with industrial networking or system integrationFamiliarity with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practicesWork Environment100% onsite, Monday–FridayManufacturing and cleanroom environmentOccasional overtime (up to 20%)Travel up to 10% (domestic and limited international)May require weekend or shutdown support based on project needsAdditional InformationOpportunity to work on advanced manufacturing and production technologiesHigh level of cross-functional collaborationFast-paced, project-driven environment with strong growth potentialPride Global offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
