Travel RN - Labor & Delivery - Obstetrics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a postpartum/mother baby unit, requiring DC RN licensure and relevant perinatal certifications.Job Details• Position is in a postpartum/mother baby setting at a hospital,• Care provided to patients including vaginal delivery, C-section, and GYN surgery cases,• Three 12-hour night shifts per week are required,• Patient acuity includes postpartum and gynecological surgical cases,• Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility,Job Requirements• Active DC RN license required, with no pending status accepted,• Must have current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and CPI,• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required,• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly desired,• Minimum two years of relevant postpartum/mother baby RN experience in a US hospital required,• Postpartum and mother baby care experience is required and L&D-only experience is not sufficient,• Must supply two manager or supervisor references, including one from most recent employer,• Candidate must have a valid US Social Security Number for consideration,Additional Information• Responsible for providing safe, competent patient-centered nursing care and demonstrating service excellence standards,• Duties include care for patients post-vaginal delivery, C-section, and after GYN surgeries,• Must provide leadership and support to the healthcare team,• Must fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing various patient care functions in accordance with regulatory requirements,• AHA certifications must be current; Basic and Advanced certifications may be offered onsite if needed,
