Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend rotation with holiday coverage required • 26-week contract assignment (no 13-week option available) • Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends • Required to work Charge RN shifts as needed • Float required as needed across all facility campuses • Must pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed) • BLS certification required • EPIC charting system experience required • Previous charge experience and 2 years of nursing experience required • Travel nursing experience required • Care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patient population • Perform blood product administration, peripheral line care management, and IV starts • Manage Heparin, Insulin, and PCA protocols • Provide nasal cannula oxygen therapy and maintain isolation precautions • Utilize rapid response teams and interpret EKGs • Handle wound care, PICC line management, feeding tubes, and surgical drains • Manage BiPAP/CPAP equipment and perform oral suctioning • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Complete compliance requirements by 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date Facility: This community hospital provides comprehensive medical-surgical telemetry services with advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities.
