Job Description: - Position: Float between units- Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)- Experience: 1 year(s) required- Schedule Requirements: - Every other weekend is required - No block schedules - Key Responsibilities: - Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for clients - Assist patients in navigating the Department of Children and Families (DCF) process - Engage in collaborative care coordination post-discharge - Document pertinent information to facilitate care coordination - Participate in care conference activities - Refer clients to rehabilitation and long-term care facilities - Counseling/Therapy Services: - Provide individual, marriage, and parental counseling - Ensure knowledge of community programs, including: - AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children) - Medicaid - Medicare - Food stamps - Medication Assistance - TANF (Temporary Aid for Needy Families) - Protective Services Knowledge: - Familiarity with adult and child protective services - Handle emergency detentions and guardianships - Understand Power of Attorney requirements - Specialized Areas Knowledge: - Knowledge of adoption and foster care processes - Awareness of drug/alcohol use and treatment options - Experience in psychiatric hospital settings, including 5150/Involuntary holds - Expected Patient Ratio: 7:1 - Qualifications: - Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker - Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics - Hospital experience preferred - Charting systems: Any experience required; Epic preferred Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
