Project Engineer I

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Project Engineer in our Woodridge, IL office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world. And, as part of our Floodplain & Stormwater Management team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America. Here's what you'll do: Infrastructure design including storm, sanitary, roads, earthwork and utilities. Urban storm water analysis, modeling & design. Participating in water, wetland and infrastructure projects for private and public sector clients. Preparing reports, design plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates. Monitoring projects to ensure needed regulatory compliance. Assisting project team in obtaining civil and environmental permits. Assisting Project Managers in client communication and coordination. We're looking for: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required. 5 - 10 years of related experience. PE preferred. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS and MicroStation preferred. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling/design tools preferred. Understanding of federal, state, and local stormwater and floodplain permitting requirements preferred.
