Warehouse Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Warehouse Manager to lead and oversee daily warehouse operations at our scrap metal processing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and experience managing industrial or recycling operations. This is a working management position, meaning the selected candidate will supervise staff while also actively participating in unloading, grading, sorting, processing, and customer-facing scale operations as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, operationally minded, and comfortable working in an industrial scrap yard environment. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Warehouse Management Oversee all warehouse and yard operations, including receiving, processing, staging, and shipping materials Supervise the warehouse staff Enforce company safety standards at all times Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with other departments Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime Front-End Scrap Processing Duties (Hands-On) Inspect, identify, and grade incoming scrap materials if needed Operate forklifts, skid steers, loaders, balers, and shears as needed Support scale operations and ensure accurate documentation of weights and materials Provide professional and courteous service to customers at the yard Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and processing areas Qualifications 3–5+ years of warehouse, industrial, or scrap yard management experience Prior hands-on experience in scrap metal processing or recycling operations strongly preferred Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metal grading Experience operating heavy equipment (forklifts, loaders, balers, shears, etc.) Strong leadership and team management skills Basic computer proficiency Ability to work in outdoor and physically demanding environments Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods Comfortable working around heavy machinery, noise, and industrial conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
