Warehouse Lead Opportunity at Utz Quality Foods At Utz Quality Foods, we're looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team at our state-of-the-art Rice Distribution Center in Hanover, PA.In this role, you'll help lead day-to-day warehouse operations while supporting the Warehouse Supervisor to keep the shift running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You'll play a key role in coordinating workflow, supporting team members on the warehouse floor, and stepping into leadership responsibilities when needed.If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, leading by example, and driving operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.Shift: Friday to Sunday 5:30PM-5:30AM.Responsibilities: Support daily warehouse operations, including retrieving, organizing, and distributing outbound shipment materialsOversee case-picking operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, and efficiencyAssign picking tasks, monitor progress, and coordinate workflow with replenishment and outbound teamsValidate picked orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper system entryEnsure trailer and door assignments are correct to support on-time deliveriesMonitor trailer shortages, cube utilization, and operational flow throughout the shiftAssist loaders, pickers, conveyor operators, and warehouse associates to maximize shift efficiencyLoad and unload conveyor systems, organize products into storage, and scan inventory accuratelySupport inventory control through cycle counts, audits, and physical inventoriesInvestigate, document, and report incidents or operational concerns during the shiftTrain and guide associates on picking systems, RF scanners, equipment operation, and safety proceduresRecommend and support process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and workflowStep in as acting supervisor when needed and provide leadership coverage across shiftsSpend the majority of the shift on the warehouse floor actively supporting and supervising operationsMaintain quality, food safety, and warehouse safety standards at all timesRequirements: Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience preferredExtensive forklift experience, including High Reach experience or willingness to learnExperience with shipping, loading, and warehouse operationsAbility to plan and execute daily shipping schedules effectivelyStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience using RF scanners, warehouse systems, and inventory tracking toolsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems quicklyAbility to obtain and maintain forklift certificationComfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active warehouse environmentAbility to work independently while supporting a team-oriented cultureFlexibility to support additional responsibilities and shift coverage as neededExternal Recruitment Process Easy Application (5 mins): Introduce yourself and answer a few key questions to get started.Engaging Chat Interview (20-25 mins): Share your experiences in an online chat, highlighting how your values align with ours.Live Interview: Selected candidates will meet with the hiring manager to explore their alignment with the team and overall Utz company culture.Continuously Pursuing Excellence!Here at Utz, we have a passion for exciting and delighting consumers with delicious snack foods made from high quality ingredients.
