Human Resources Generalist I

The Fountain Group, a national staffing firm is currently seeking an HR Generalist for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in Richmond, VA. Details of the position are as follows:Job Description:Pay: $24- $26/hr3 - month assignment on W2 with a possibility for extension based on performance and budgetOverview: People Experience Advisor is responsible for local execution of operational HR activities. The Advisor is the key point of contact to employees where self-service /shared services support is not available and sits within the local BU squad team.Where appropriate the PE Advisor will support implementation of local projects or initiatives.Main Responsibilities: Use Business Unit knowledge to provide local HR services that are relevant and tailored to the needs of the BU/location (e.g. Time & Attendance support, etc.)Demonstrate a deep understanding of the local BU/location; work as part of the BU squad, providing business intimacy and supporting with delivery of local HR servicesEscalate business specific queries to the BU People Experience Lead and functional queries to the relevant SSC teamKey point of contact to employee and managers for HR related queries, self-service transactions, HR portal navigation, policy interpretation and process support requiring face-to-face interaction and hard copy documentationResponsible for focusing on employee experience and continuous improvement of end-to-end operational HR servicesResponsible for delivery of the following services: ongoing onboarding local learning delivery time & attendance (plant) local query resolution hourly recruitment (plant outside NA)PE Advisors in a non-shared service supported country and/or in a plant, will be responsible for delivery of end to end HR servicesProvides HR advice and guidance in relation to their BU, empowered to use their judgement and business knowledge to pre-empt any HR concerns and proactively seek solutionsSupports documentation and implements local/ country specific policiesResponsible for identifying service issues, proposing improvements, and supporting implementing changesSupports the delivery of projects and initiatives within their country/BUResponsible for Employee Relations support (where service not provided by SSCQualifications:High School Diploma/ GED Required, College education preferred2+ years of HR coordination/ generalist support experience is requiredExperience or exposure to a labor union environment is a plusManufacturing environment experience is a plusOur company offers our contractors a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.
