ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and supporting applications within an AWS cloud environment.Build and enhance data ingestion components, integrations, transformations, and validation processes supporting healthcare data.Own and support recurring product data ingestion cycles, including monitoring runs, managing retries, troubleshooting failures, and validating data completeness and quality.Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to improve application and data pipeline reliability.Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines supporting application deployments and releases.Monitor application health, logs, alerts, and production performance; respond to incidents and help drive resolution.Support environment configuration, application security, access controls, and secure handling of sensitive healthcare data.Develop internal tools and automation that reduce manual operational work and improve reliability and efficiency.Improve application observability and operational guardrails, including monitoring, alerting, retries, and timeouts.Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Data, Analytics, and Support teams to ensure solutions are production-ready and operationally sound.Contribute technical guidance around platform resilience, production readiness, documentation, and operational best practices.Public - Required Skills10+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, DevOps, or a closely related technical role.Deep, hands-on experience working within the AWS ecosystem, with multiple years of continuous AWS-focused development and production support.Strong experience with AWS-native technologies including Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL, and MWAA/Airflow.Advanced Python and SQL skills, including backend development, complex query design, stored procedures, and database optimization.Experience developing and supporting data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes in production environments.Experience supporting software and data workloads in production, including troubleshooting, monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis.Experience with healthcare data, including Medical Claims, Rx Claims, or similar healthcare datasets.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.Public - Preferred SkillsExperience supporting commercial or customer-facing data products.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, release management, and production monitoring.Experience developing automation to improve application reliability and reduce manual operational work.Experience working with sensitive or highly regulated data environments.Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to provide guidance around production readiness and platform resilience.Experience working in a product-focused environment where engineers own solutions through development, deployment, and ongoing production support.
