Responsible for safety, planning, cost and productivity, while perpetuating an SQP culture. 5 years' related experience and/or trainingLine and Grade experienceForeman experienceMay require appropriate craft certificationsGood listening skillsAbility to collaborate with other Superintendents, Foremen, and other tradesRequires ability to maneuver in and out of job site trailers and various stages of job site terrainsWork is a combination of office and field environments involving various types of conditions encountered on the construction siteInvolves exposure to outside weather and job site conditions ROLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reviews assigned area to establish the most cost-effective way to build while considering the impact of safety, quality and scheduleAdheres to budget and is held accountable for units agreed to in said budgetAdheres to project schedule and is held accountable for meeting that scheduleDevelops short-term look ahead schedulesResponsible for manning the crew; interviews and assists in the selection process of new hires while following Recruitment and Hiring GuidelinesManages cost by adjusting:Crew sizeMake-up of crewMeans and methods to address quality and efficienciesMeets with foremen daily to plan production, review schedules, materials, manpower needs, pre-and-post-pour checklists, and safety requirementsEnsures compliance with Company policies, local labor laws and labor agreements, where applicableAssigns cost codes to time and quantities Provides target and feedback information to the crewsPrepares and distributes short-term interval work schedules Inspects work in progress to ensure adherence with SQP processesEstablishes and maintains appropriate security for equipment
