Event Coordinator (Chicago)

Events CoordinatorBring events to life and make an impact.As an Events Coordinator, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality events—including seminars, conferences, webinars, and special programs—that support business development and client engagement. Working closely with Practice Development Managers and cross-functional teams, you'll manage event details from concept through post-event reporting, ensuring every experience is seamless, professional, and impactful.What You'll DoSupport the full lifecycle of events, from initial planning through execution and follow-upCoordinate event logistics, timelines, vendors, and deliverables to ensure flawless executionConceptualize and help stage engaging events aligned with strategic goals and target audiencesResearch venues, formats, and vendors, and provide recommendations based on event objectivesCreate electronic invitations, manage RSVP tracking, and generate attendance reportsDevelop and manage event budgets, including cost comparisons and budget summariesPrepare and distribute event materials, both digitally and in printBuild and upload materials for webinars and virtual eventsCoordinate delivery, setup, and breakdown of event materials as neededCreate and maintain event webpages for public-facing programsProduce post-event materials such as attendance reports, budget recaps, and evaluationsPartner with the marketing technology team to ensure CRM records accurately reflect event and contact dataCollaborate with Communications on social media promotions and event visibilityWork with Professional Development to manage CLE tracking, certificates, and reportingApply for annual HRCI certification when requiredIndependently manage departmental projects beyond events, contributing to broader initiativesWhat You BringSkills & CompetenciesExceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsA calm, professional approach when working under pressure and tight deadlinesA self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and proactivelyConfidence managing and communicating with external vendors and internal stakeholdersA collaborative, solutions-oriented attitudeExperience & QualificationsAt least 4 years of experience in event planning or marketing, preferably within a professional services or law firm environmentBachelor's degree in Marketing or a related fieldFlexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or additional hours around eventsWillingness to travel for events held in other citiesTechnology & ToolsProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelComfort learning and using new technologies, platforms, and event toolsIf you meet the above qualifications and would like to apply for this position, you may email your up-to-date, professional CV/resume to Tim Dameron @ timothy.dameron@adeccona.com.Perfect placements.
