Job Description Job Title: Machine OperatorDepartment: ProductionJOB PURPOSEOperate ring twister, 2 for 1 twister, assembly windersJOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARYCheck specification for supply yarn, ring twister/winder set up and twisted/finished product requirementsUnpack supply yarn and visually inspect packages for defectsLoad supply yarn into creel/potPlace supply yarn packages under rewinder positionString supply yarn from creel to twisterString each ring twister/2:1/rewinder positionRun test positions and deliver to labVerify proper construction (number of ends) at the start and end of each doffStart ring twister/2:1/rewinder and run specified doff cycleDoff full pirns/twisted/rewound packages from each ring twister/2:1/rewinder position onto buggyVisually inspect twisted/rewound packages, downgrade any not meeting specificationLabel pirns and buggy, twisted/rewound packages per specificationTransport buggies/finished goods box to designated areaPack twisted/rewound packages into box per specification and transport to 2:1 areaComplete and sign all required paperwork including:Production/Quality formMaintenance Request formProduction Ticket (Buck Slip)Perform any creel duties necessary to restart twister/rewinderRemove scrap and clean twister/rewind areaHours 3:00PM-11:30PMREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
