Job Title: Lead Data Scientist Location: Reston, VA Type: Contract Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remoteResponsibilitiesLead proliferation of machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions throughout the enterprise to address business challengesIdentify and solve complex business problems using advanced numerical techniques, algorithms, and models in statistical modeling, machine learning, operations research, and data miningUtilize advanced analytical capabilities to support and drive data science initiatives across teamsCommunicate findings and insights to product teams, customers, and senior management, educating them on AI, machine learning, and statistical modelsLead interactions between analytics, business units, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective implementation of data-driven solutionsConduct data mining and extraction activities, applying algorithms to derive actionable insightsSynthesize and present analytical findings for consumption by teams and senior executivesApply AI techniques to achieve specific business outcomes while managing resource and data constraintsMentor and develop junior data scientists, fostering advanced data analysis skillsTranslate business priorities into data science deliverables, ensuring alignment with strategic goalsImplement best practices in ML/AI/DS for new data products; build scalable and robust software solutionsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in data science or related areasAbility to communicate effectively and document objectives and proceduresExpertise in leveraging a wide variety of data science tools and frameworksSupport data exploration and analysis tasks supporting analytics objectivesKnowledge of model evaluation, tuning, performance, operationalization, and scalability of scientific techniquesProficiency in statistical modeling applicationsProficiency in advanced SQL across multiple syntaxesSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
