This role is ideal for a professional with strong experience in grading, drainage, and site layout, who can analyze how land behaves and design effective solutions for water flow and site performance.This is not a construction role—this position focuses on design, analysis, and plan development.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign grading and drainage plans, including contours, spot elevations, and surface modelingAnalyze stormwater runoff and flow paths to ensure proper site drainageDevelop Stormwater Management (SWM) and Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC) plansEvaluate site topography and propose practical grading and drainage solutionsCreate and modify surfaces, alignments, and profiles using Civil 3DInterpret redlines and implement revisions accuratelyPrepare permit-ready plan sets for land development projectsCollaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and complianceRequirementsStrong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3DProven experience in site design, grading, and stormwater drainageAbility to independently create grading plans, surfaces, and drainage layoutsSolid understanding of: Drainage flow and runoff behavior, Slopes, elevations, and land grading, Stormwater systems and BMPsExperience working with U.S. land development standards (preferred)Strong English communication skillsDetail-oriented and able to work independently in a remote environmentTechnical ExpectationsAbility to analyze site conditions, not just draft plansIdentify drainage divides, flow directions, and low/high pointsUnderstand how grading decisions impact stormwater behavior and site performanceApply best practices in stormwater management and erosion controlWork SetupReliable high-speed internet connectionComputer capable of running AutoCAD Civil 3D efficientlyAvailability for regular team communicationPreferred QualificationsExperience working on U.S.-based residential or commercial land development projectsFamiliarity with stormwater regulations and permitting processesExperience preparing complete plan sets for approvals and construction
