Dock and Warehouse Supervisor

Job DescriptionJob SummaryThis position will support operations for ACTenviro by conducting inspections on incoming and outbound waste material.AccountabilitiesOversee loading and shipping hazardous waste, including biological waste. Supervise and manage technicians start times and shifts. Supervise technicians loading procedures. Manage inspection of hazardous waste storage areas and documentation. Manage inbound and outbound loads with Operations Supervisor. Label and organize containers in compliance with all regulations. Oversee warehouse supply orders. Responds to emergency situations when called upon. Ensure that the warehouse and dock are kept clean and orderly. Attend and maintain all required training necessary to perform job. Perform safe work practices involving chemical, radiological and bioactive agentsAvailability to work weekends and extended hours as neededKnowledge, Skills and AbilityAbility to lift 50 poundsThree (3-5) years prior experience in the hazardous materials/waste industryOne (0-1) year with Forklift certification (clean driving record)Ability to work efficiently and effectivelyMaintain a clean and organized workspaceAbility to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screenEducation/ExperienceHigh school education or equivalentExperience in the hazardous materials/waste industry preferredSuccessfully completed HAZWOPER 40 hour (must have copies if certified), a plusOther InformationACTenviro is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vetsThis job description is a general description of essential job functions.
