Chief Technology Officer

The Sharp CTO will optimize Sharp's technology capabilities to best support continued growth. The role spans driving high reliability, secure, and efficient multi-site plant operations and internal and customer-facing applications, as well as driving innovation in automation and continuous improvement. This leader will play a key role in supporting customer service and satisfaction, attracting new customers, and enhancing operational efficiency, and will serve as a key member of Sharp's senior leadership team.Key deliverables include: Strengthening customer connectivity and engagement Improving shop-floor automation and reliability Increasing machine efficiency monitoring Leveraging technology to drive regulatory compliance Utilizing data, AI, and other advanced tools to enhance operational efficiency and utilizationThis leader can add value by understanding how technology needs are evolving in the marketplace and serving as a partner to Sharp’s operations and business development teams. The leader demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset They will develop technology investment strategies with ROI discipline and lead prioritization and change management effectively.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Technology Leadership Define and implement enterprise-wide IT and digital strategy to support corporate growth and transformation. Align technology investments with business objectives and client needs. Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Design and maintain resilient, secure and compliant global IT operations. Strengthen cybersecurity and risk management programs across IT and OT environments. Enterprise Applications & Data Modernize core platforms, including ERP, MES, LIMS, serialization and automation systems. Build advanced data capabilities through analytics, AI/ML and cloud transformation. Operational Excellence Drive continuous improvement initiatives and align technology KPIs with business outcomes. Implement best-in-class processes for efficiency, scalability and compliance. Automation Engineering Partner with clients to design and deliver automation solutions that add measurable value. Advance packaging automation and digital client interface technologies. Leadership & Governance Build and inspire a global technology leadership team across infrastructure, applications and automation. Represent technology priorities to the Board and executive leadership team.
