This onsite leadership role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing the close process, strengthening internal controls, and supporting operational excellence across the Finance function.The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a hands-on approach to process improvement. This role partners closely with senior leadership, including the Controller and CFO, while leading key accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance.This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable processes, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Accounting Operations and Financial ReportingLead the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAPOversee journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and general ledger integrityEnsure accurate financial reporting across multiple business units and entitiesSupport preparation of financial statements, reporting packages, and leadership reportingInternal Controls and ComplianceStrengthen accounting controls, policies, and procedures to improve accuracy and operational efficiencySupport implementation and maintenance of SOX controls and audit readiness initiativesMonitor evolving accounting guidance and support implementation of new accounting standardsEnsure compliance with company policies and financial reporting requirementsAudit and Cross-Functional PartnershipServe as primary liaison for external audits and coordinate audit schedules and documentationPartner with Finance, Operations, Payroll, and Leadership teams to support organizational initiativesProvide accounting guidance and financial insight to support business decisionsERP Systems and Process ImprovementAct as accounting subject matter expert for NetSuite, BlackLine, and related financial systemsPartner with IT and Finance teams on system enhancements, integrations, and process automationIdentify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting accuracy, and operational scalabilityLeadership and Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting teamFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementSupport performance management, mentoring, and professional development initiativesQualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredCPA required3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilitiesPublic accounting background strongly preferredExperience in multi-entity, multi-unit, or franchise organizations preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsExperience with ERP systems including NetSuite and reconciliation platforms such as BlackLine preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWhy Join The Learning Experience:High-visibility leadership role within a growing national organizationOpportunity to influence accounting operations and financial strategyCollaborative, team-oriented environment with executive exposureCareer growth and leadership development opportunitiesMission-driven organization focused on excellence and innovation
