This onsite leadership role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing the close process, strengthening internal controls, and supporting operational excellence across the Finance function.The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a hands-on approach to process improvement. This role partners closely with senior leadership, including the Controller and CFO, while leading key accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance.This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable processes, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations and Financial Reporting Lead the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and general ledger integrity Ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple business units and entities Support preparation of financial statements, reporting packages, and leadership reporting Internal Controls and Compliance Strengthen accounting controls, policies, and procedures to improve accuracy and operational efficiency Support implementation and maintenance of SOX controls and audit readiness initiatives Monitor evolving accounting guidance and support implementation of new accounting standards Ensure compliance with company policies and financial reporting requirements Audit and Cross-Functional Partnership Serve as primary liaison for external audits and coordinate audit schedules and documentation Partner with Finance, Operations, Payroll, and Leadership teams to support organizational initiatives Provide accounting guidance and financial insight to support business decisions ERP Systems and Process Improvement Act as accounting subject matter expert for NetSuite, BlackLine, and related financial systems Partner with IT and Finance teams on system enhancements, integrations, and process automation Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting accuracy, and operational scalability Leadership and Team Development Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Support performance management, mentoring, and professional development initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required CPA required 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities Public accounting background strongly preferred Experience in multi-entity, multi-unit, or franchise organizations preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience with ERP systems including NetSuite and reconciliation platforms such as BlackLine preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Why Join The Learning Experience High-visibility leadership role within a growing national organization Opportunity to influence accounting operations and financial strategy Collaborative, team-oriented environment with executive exposure Career growth and leadership development opportunities Mission-driven organization focused on excellence and innovation
