Flight Test Engineer

CX2's AI-enabled hardware and software platforms detect, disrupt and defend the electromagnetic spectrum across land, air, sea and space domains.We're seeking a highly skilled Flight Test Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production and test of complex systems, early-stage prototyping, and a strong software background.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end ownership of tests and demonstrations, including planning, execution and reporting.Creating, reviewing, and automating procedures for building, testing and operating electronic warfare systemsReviewing data of complex systems to drive root cause analysis and process improvement (examples include control software, RF links, power delivery systems, and propulsion)Interfacing with U.S. and allied military customers, traveling to and attending test on bases/ranges, and handling people and equipment logistics for frequent remote demonstrationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineeringMinimum of 2-5 years of experience in safety critical testing, with a strong emphasis on autonomous and remotely piloted systemsExperience with on-site and/or on-base testing and troubleshootingFamiliarity with Python; proficiency a plusMust be willing travel >25% of the time both nationally and internationally; valid US or ITAR-approved country passport is a necessityPrior military experience strongly preferredBased in Los Angeles or willing to relocateAbility to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines.ITAR RegulationsTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
