The preferred treatment environment for CLHSD is community-based. .We're looking for aProfessional Counselor 4to service full range of clinical services within the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program.Minimum QualificationsPossession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus two years of licensed counseling experience.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be foundhere.Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:Participates in the decision-making process of the treatment team, including formulating therapeutic activities.Serves as a group leader/facilitator in counseling groups made up of persons with substance use disorders.May conduct peer reviews to refine the quality and level of outpatient substance use services provided.Manages caseloads of clients diagnosed with substance abuse issuesPosition-Specific Details:Appointment Type: Probational Appointment.Location:This vacancy is located at the Central Louisiana Human Services District.
