Software Engineer In TestFidelity Investments has an opportunity for a Software Engineer in Test within our growing Durham/RTP, NC Campus. In this role, you would be delivering high end products, innovative technology and customer solutions for everyday roadblocks. You will be joining the Workplace Investing (WI) Digital Platform's Quality Engineering team and will help in guiding your squad in all things related to the quality of their code.We are looking for an innovator with passion for teamwork and collaboration and has a creative development approach. Engineers will typically be assigned to a single project, ranging from moderate to high complexity. This role will be predominantly passionate about improving, maintaining, and supporting data for existing automation frameworks as well as working on new test data solution initiatives on an architectural level. We are also primary resources for data automation knowledge and training.Job ResponsibilitiesProactively presenting with developers and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or executionIdentify, communicate, and proactively lead project risks as well those of our supporting teams (as applicable)Be an authority in the overall team objectives and improvement initiativesSteer gathering of team requirements on process improvementsFacilitate alignment to automation standards and support overall DevOps IntegrationPartner with development teams and promote understanding of test data and its role in the project lifecycleSupport multiple test data pipelinesSupport Continuous Integrated (CI) testing using industry standard tools and techniquesBuild and support test data automation toolsEducation and ExperienceDegree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience6+ years of Software Development or proven experience desired6+ years of Software Engineering in Test or proven experience in desired Skills and KnowledgeSolid understanding of batch application, data integration applications, OLTP batch jobs and near real time batch jobs.Understanding of distributed event store and stream-processing platform technology like Kafka.Data migration concepts.Experienced with programming languages as Java and scripting language like SQL is required.Strong experience with ETL/ ELT validations in Oracle[Preferred] or any RDBMS.Good Understanding of Behavior Driven Development - BDD FrameworkExperience with trading or financial applications are preferred with a practical understanding of brokerage applications highly preferredAbility to multi-task and shift priorities in response to changing business needsProficient in the software development lifecycle - FSDM and AgileUnderstanding of Dev Ops principles and strategies as well as how to apply them to multiple SDLC models is preferredProper SDL standards including code review and documentationSkillsTools: API Tools (Rest Assured, Karate, or other open-source tools), IntelliJ/Eclipse, Jenkins, Git repositories, Source-Tree, and DockerLanguages: Java, SQL, Python.
