What: Assist the Controller with financial statements, reconciliations, audits, staff supervision, and month-end close activities. When: Full-time opportunity. Where: Duluth, GA – onsite. Job Description:The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in overseeing dealership financials, month-end close, reconciliations, audits, staff supervision, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:Assist with preparation and analysis of complete monthly financial statements. Supervise office staff, including receptionists and cashiers. Monitor cash trends and inform Controller of financial needs. Review journal entries; approve inventory, COS, and expense adjustments. Prepare and process insurance and workmen's comp claims. Coordinate month-end reconciliations and physical inventory. Maintain fixed asset and prepaid accounts, post standard monthly entries. Support internal and external audits; provide requested documentation. Calculate depreciation and maintain accruals for various expenses. Run monthly expense trend reports and provide financial insights. Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of automotive accounting management experience. Knowledge of vehicle registration and title work. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Clean motor vehicle and criminal background record. Strong communication, active listening, and professional attitude. Resilient, adaptable, and eager to learn. Strong work ethic and respect for teammates.
