General Summary The Assistant Housekeeper 1 is responsible for routine cleaning tasks following established performance standards to ensure cleanliness and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean assigned patient rooms and ancillary areas daily, adhering to procedures and guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of assigned office spaces according to policy. Use appropriate cleaning agents for assigned tasks. Secure and store housekeeping carts properly. Keep housekeeping carts and janitor closets neat and organized at all times. Complete daily cleaning logs accurately and submit them to supervisors. Report any issues related to cleaning, maintenance, equipment, safety, or facility repairs to the supervisor promptly. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. Willingness to learn additional tasks is important. Experience 0-3 months of housekeeping or floor care experience, which can be gained through on-the-job training or prior work. Certification/License Not applicable. Mental/Physical Requirements Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Good communication skills. Ability to organize work efficiently. Physical ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds. Basic computer skills. Endurance for long periods of standing and walking.
