Therefore, you need to ensure that your application materials are complete when submitted.UNION BID PERIOD: 5/8/2026-5/15/2026Job DescriptionPerform routine, manual work utilizing knowledge of various custodial materials, equipment, methods and procedures used in maintaining a clean, neat and orderly buildingWork is spot-checked frequently and reviewed by observation for neatness, cleanliness, efficiency and overall resultsFunctional contacts include students, staff and general public using building facilities Key ResponsibilitiesPerform duties in the care and cleaning of buildings (e.g., garages, offices, classrooms, entry ways, and restrooms). Clean floors (e.g., sweep, mop, and wax), empty trash receptacles, dust furniture, clean windows and other cleaning related duties. May sweep and shovel snow. May order cleaning supplies and equipment repairs as needed. May be assigned to work in areas requiring special use of disinfectants, cleaning techniques and sanitation procedures or use of special equipment (e.g., large sweeper, power washers)May prepare rooms for meetings by setting up chairs, tables and necessary equipmentMay perform building security duties such as locking and unlocking doors, checking windows, turning lights on or off, etc., report items that need repair to superiorPerforms other duties as assigned ShiftMonday-Friday, 4:00am-12:30pmMinimum Qualifications Ability to read and write. A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions. Ability on a daily basis to: Lift, carry, and set down objects of moderate weight (25-50 lbs.) Grasp broom and mop handles Work around dust and cleaning chemicals Climb stairs, step stools, and ladders Physical strength, coordination and stamina sufficient to perform assigned duties.Preferred QualificationsOne year of general maintenance and custodial experience Some knowledge of methods for cleaning equipment and buildings; mechanical ability for minor repair of equipment Anticipated Hiring RangeThe anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.51-$15.81 hourly.Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
