CV Invasive Specialist The CV Invasive Specialist performs duties necessary for cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and professional level requiring some proctoring and supervision of technical detail. The Specialist performs a variety of technical procedures that require some independent judgment. Check out this video and learn more and discover the "Power of We."As an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:Providing technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Providing patient care under the supervision of the RN.Assisting physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures. Operating imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.Educating patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure. Teaches patient and family about pre and post procedure physical conditions.Assisting in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintaining appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.Completing daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately documenting productivity information.Participating in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identifies potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identifies potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff, and takes appropriate actions.Minimum Qualifications Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist IHigh School Diploma or equivalentRegistered ARRT or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification or RCIS or RCES at time of hire, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS is required within 18 months of hireCurrent Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP)ACLS and Surgical Technologist License with DORA obtained within 3 months of hire in state of ColoradoPreferred QualificationsAssociates degreeTwo (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath LabMinimum Qualifications Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist IIBachelor's Degree or CertificationRegistered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS is required or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification or RCIS or RCESCurrent Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) and ACLSSurgical Technologist License with DORA obtained within 3 months of hire in state of ColoradoFour (4) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath LabPreferred QualificationsFive (5) or more years of experience in Cardiology/Cath LabTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
