HR Specialist (Home Care Industry)

We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist with a strong background in the home care industry. This position is essential for managing employee processes from onboarding through the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and promoting a culture of self-reliance through the use of ADP Workforce Now for HR and payroll-related tasks. Responsibilities: Onboarding and HR Management: Oversee the full onboarding process, ensuring new hires complete all required documentation (I-9, W-4, etc.). Guide employees to use ADP Workforce Now for: Accessing pay stubs and managing direct deposit information. Requesting time off and tracking PTO balances. Updating personal and tax information. Ensure licenses, certifications, and health screenings are tracked and up-to-date. Maintain detailed employee records, including hire dates, terminations, and performance evaluations. Conduct annual employee evaluations, ensuring timely feedback within 45 days. Employee Relations and Documentation: Manage and update employee profiles in ADP and Axxess, our home care software used for scheduling and staffing, ensuring job titles, certifications, and salaries are accurate. Track in-service education and schedule ongoing training to comply with regulatory requirements. Handle employee terminations, re-hire eligibility, and maintain accurate personnel records. Organize and maintain employee files, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. ADP Workforce Now Support: Empower employees to utilize ADP Workforce Now for self-service tasks such as updating personal details, accessing pay information, and submitting time-off requests. Provide support to employees in navigating the ADP platform, encouraging self-reliance and efficient management of employment records. Compliance and Legal Regulations: Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws governing home care agencies, including health screenings, criminal background checks, and licensure verification. Implement audit trails to track employee history, including licensure and client assignments. Qualifications: 2+ years of HR experience in the home care industry is required. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Axxess (home care software for scheduling and staffing). Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
