Service Estimator/ Service Coordinator

Job Description DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:Responsible for estimating labor, materials and subcontractors required for service repair proposals and ordering of parts for service calls. Assist dispatchers on incoming service calls. Provide technical support to service department and technicians. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work independently as well as part of the team.RESPONSIBILITIES:Review all service tickets given by Service Manager to have parts/labor quoted to customer for approvalOrder parts generated by service callsResearch all parts, cost, subs and availability before quoting jobsPrepare estimates and generate proposals for Service Manager approvalMaintain communication with customers and vendorsFollow-up with change order requests and estimatesAssist service technicians to locate parts for service calls as requiredIssue POs to subcontractors and vendors as requiredEnter POs and track deliveryAssist Accounts Receivable with following up on invoicesAll other duties assigned by managementEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEMinimum high school education – Technical school education preferredThree (3) to five (5) years of HVAC industry experience in ServiceREQUIRED SKILLS AND STRENGTHSKnowledge of HVAC industryKnowledge of estimatingAble to planCompetent in conflict managementAbility to meet deadlinesComputer literate with Word, Excel, email and data entryAble to adapt and learn new computer programsFamiliar with standard office machinesWork in a fast-paced environmentFocus amid distractionsExcellent communication skillsCustomer service orientedOutgoing personalityGood listenerTeam playerAnalytical and detail orientedFlexibleOrganizedFollow directionsWork independently after initial trainingBACK UP RESPONSIBILITIESSupport to Dispatchers and/or Service Job CoordinatorJob Type: Full-time
