HVAC Service Technician

Job Description Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician to maintain, diagnose and repair residential and/or commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, customer service experience, and a commitment to quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation systemsPerform routine maintenance on residential and commercial HVAC equipmentInstall new HVAC systems and retrofit existing systems when neededTest and calibrate HVAC systems for proper functionalityInterpret wiring diagrams and technical manualsCommunicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, options, and system careComplete work orders, service reports, and maintain accurate recordsComply with all local HVAC codes, safety regulations, and company policiesMaintain tools and inventory in service vehicleParticipate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service requestsQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredHVAC certification or diploma from technical school (EPA 608 certification required)2+ years of field experience preferredValid driver's license with clean driving recordStrong diagnostic and mechanical skillsFamiliarity with HVAC tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipmentGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, or rooftopsComfortable working in varying weather conditionsStanding, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders for extended periodsBenefits: (if applicable)Competitive pay + overtimePaid time off and holidaysCommission401(k) planOngoing training and certification supportCompany vehicle and uniform provided
