Internships at APA - Leadership Development Institute, ACT

We are currently hiring for a paid summer intern for 2026. Applications are currently being accepted for interns to provide administrative support for the ACT Raising Safe Kids program. Interns will need to commit to up to 20 hours a week.The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) provides internships to fellows who have an interest in or are pursuing careers in behavioral health. The LDI consists of programs that promote psychological science to bolster and enhance the behavioral health workforce, including the ACT Raising Safe Kids (ACT) program. ACT is a training program that teaches positive parenting skills to caregivers of children from birth to age 10.Requirements:A student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of study with an interestin psychology or behavioral health discipline.The internship is a fully remote position. Interested students must reside in a state that meetsAPA's residency requirements.Availability to work up to 20 hours a week. The internship is primarily for Monday-Friday duringnormal business hours, but there is occasional weekend support needed.This is largely an administrative internship opportunity, providing programmatic support. Thisis not a research or clinical position. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizationalskills are needed.Interns can expect to learn the following:Program and grant administration and managementPromotional material production and disseminationSurvey creation, data collection, and analysis for program improvement andimplementationJob Location - Remote: APA internships may be considered for remote work eligibility as defined in APA's Flexible Work Policy and are subject to approval.
