Ultrasound Tech Location: Hermiston, OR Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $2,600 to $2,760 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $65.00 - $69.00/Hourly. Summary: An Ultrasound Technologist, also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to produce images of internal body structures. These images assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions. The technologist ensures patient safety, maintains imaging equipment, and provides high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists or physicians. Responsibilities: ⁠Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner. Prepares patient for procedures; provides instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. Selects and operates ultrasound equipment, and associated devices to achieve desired results. Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Immobilizes patients as required for appropriate examination. Determines ultrasonic frequencies and appropriate transducers for the anatomic area of interest. Evaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded. Verifies informed consent for, and assists a licensed practitioner with, interventional procedures. Explain ultrasound procedures to patients and address any concerns. Position patients properly to obtain accurate diagnostic images. Apply ultrasound gel and ensure patient comfort during the procedure. Requirements Requirements: 3 - year experience Required, Associate or bachelor’s degree from of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent.
