About the Role: The Accounts Payable Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the entire accounts payable function within a manufacturing environment. This position ensures timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The manager will lead a team responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing payment processes to support the company’s financial health. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional departments such as procurement, accounting, and payroll to ensure seamless financial operations. Ultimately, the Accounts Payable Manager contributes to the integrity of the company’s financial reporting and supports operational efficiency through effective management of accounts payable activities. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proficiency in SAP and QuickBooks a plus Demonstrated ability to manage a team and improve accounting workflows in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the manufacturing industry or a similar production-focused environment. Familiarity with ERP systems and integrated accounting software Experience with process automation tools and data analytics to enhance accounts payable operations. Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations. Manage and mentor the accounts payable team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls and company policies. Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger accounts related to accounts payable and job costing. Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payment to vendors. Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve workflow and reporting accuracy. Prepare and present regular reports on accounts payable status, cash flow forecasts, and outstanding liabilities to senior management. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable and job costing. Credit Card Program administrator Other duties as assigned
