Job Title: Accounting & Operations Analyst (Cost & Manufacturing Focus)Location: Tampa, FL (hybrid) - 4 days onsite a week Employment Type: Contract (15–18 Months)Role OverviewWe are seeking an Accounting & Operations Analyst to support financial and operational activities across multiple business units in a manufacturing environment.This is a hands-on, hybrid role that blends cost accounting, operational analysis, and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on supporting day-to-day processes, identifying issues, and improving data accuracy across systems.The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented problem solver who can work independently, analyze data, and communicate effectively with both accounting and plant/operations teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Analysis & SupportAnalyze operational costs, KPIs, and production metricsReview production and shipment data to identify errors, inconsistencies, and inefficienciesInvestigate and validate spend and cost trends for reasonablenessPartner with plant and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepanciesAccounting & Close SupportAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesSupport invoice processing, payment tracking, and accrualsPerform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentationGenerate reports and insights using Power BI and ExcelCosting & Inventory OversightSupport cost accounting processes, including cost center setup and maintenanceReview and validate inventory transactions and adjustmentsMonitor inventory levels, in-transit balances, and variancesAssist with product costing and financial controlsProcess Improvement & Data ValidationExecute recurring operational and financial checks (weekly/monthly)Identify opportunities to improve processes and data accuracyEnsure alignment with internal controls and compliance requirementsSupport ongoing operational and system improvementsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2–5 years of experience in:AccountingCost analysisOperational finance or manufacturing environmentsExperience with SAP (required)Strong proficiency in:Excel (pivot tables, data analysis)Power BI (reporting and dashboards)Experience working with inventory, costing, or financial controlsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills, especially when working with operations or plant teams
