Flexible schedule - some weekend and after hours work may be required as business conditions dictate, especially during the busy season.Excellence in this challenging and rewarding position paves the way for advancement opportunities into our Driver and Service Technician development programs.What you'll do:Follow all safety guidelines and proceduresPerform routine checks on portable sanitation equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order without damage, which may include inspecting, washing, repairing, and/or storingGeneral facility maintenance and minor repairsLoading and unloading of units, either manually or with forklift as requiredUse of drill, rivet tool and other hand tools as neededEnsures supplies are onsite and organizedEnsure trucks are accurately loaded for the next day with all units cleaned and repaired to standardsSet-up/maintain yard in clean, organized mannerMaintain inventory spaces, communicate accurate counts to DispatchQuality check on all units and equipment, verifying rent ready status prior to loadingExcellent housekeeping of shop, yard and facilityMaintain professional demeanor and appearance at all timesOther duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalencyA valid driver's licenseDiligent attention to safetyGeneral knowledge of yard equipment and the loading/unloading of trucksIndustry experience is a plus, but not required (training is provided on products & services)Superior customer service and positive attitudeExcellent verbal communication skillsAbility to frequently lift items up to 45 lbsAbility to work effectively in all weather conditionsThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.Why join us?We don't just "talk the talk!"
