Details Neuro Endovascular procedural specialty unit within an acute care hospital setting Cases include large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke interventions and cerebral aneurysm repairs performed with an endovascular-trained neurologist This is a newly opening department seeking experienced staff to help establish the unit Day shift: 08:00–16:30 On-call required every other week 13-week contract Requirements Active SC or multistate compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required — American Heart Association (AHA) only Moderate sedation training required Experience in neuro interventions, cath lab, or cardiovascular OR circulator role is mandatory ICU experience preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include procedural nursing care such as sheath removal, contrast injector operation, procedural aseptic scrubbing/technique, and point-of-care testing Operates physiological monitoring systems and other patient equipment used within the procedure suite Performs pre- and post-procedure care, documentation, and patient education Administers moderate sedation and manages medications including blood and blood products per policy Participates in code management including crash cart, rapid response, and end-of-life protocols Upholds patient safety initiatives including universal protocol, time-outs, and proper patient identification American Traveler Job ID P-689195.
