Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Engineer III (SCADA / Power Systems)Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid – Mon, Tue, Thu onsite)Employment Type: 12+ months contract ( High possibility of Extension)Per Diem: $550/week available for non-local candidates willing to relocatePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the development and engineering of power generation projects, including natural gas and renewable energy assets. This role will work closely with lead project engineers and EPC partners to support design, review, and implementation of control systems and power plant technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport engineering and development of power generation projects (natural gas, solar, wind, battery storage)Develop, review, and validate technical specifications for:SCADA systemsDistributed Control Systems (DCS)Power Plant Control Systems (PCS)Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors to review designs and provide technical feedbackAnalyze and review power plant control systems and data systemsEnsure designs meet industry standards, safety, and operational requirementsSupport system integration and commissioning activitiesProvide technical expertise in SCADA and plant control systemsWork cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholdersAssist in resolving technical issues and improving system performanceRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field5+ years of experience in:Power generation or utilities industrySCADA / DCS / Control SystemsStrong understanding of:Power plant operationsElectrical systems and infrastructureExperience reviewing and developing engineering specificationsFamiliarity with working alongside EPC contractorsPreferred QualificationsExperience with natural gas power plants or renewable energy projectsKnowledge of:Power Plant Controllers (PCS)Substation systems and power distributionExperience with system integration and commissioningStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
