The candidate should possess good attention to detail, be creative, possess good time management skills and have strong interpersonal skills. This position is in research and development group, responsible for circuit design, board layout, testing and debug of new technologies for power electronics circuits, embedded systems, and sensors.Job Description: Acquire, build, and test prototype parts i.e., electric motors, sensors, controllers, circuit boards and wire harnesses for bench/dyno/vehicle usage. Developing test plans, validation setup and verification criteria for electrical components and circuits.Hands-on construction, testing and debug of new electrical hardware to demonstrate and evaluate new technologies for both bench level and vehicle level systemsPerform electrical tests involving any combination of electric motors, sensor, controllers, etc. Assisting engineers with project duties.Job Requirements:Candidate must be attending a 4-year university local to SaginawCandidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Electrical EngineeringStrong desire to learn new skills.Proficient with MS office, computer savvy, and ability to do hands on workAbility to work 20 - 32 hours per week during the school yearUp to 40 during the SummerMust maintain a minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scaleMust maintain full time credits (12 credit hours) fall and winter semestersMust be able to lift 25+ lbs of lab equipmentGood communication and computer skillsCandidate will be expected to work onsite in SaginawCandidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorshipNexteer is an Equal Opportunity Employer Disabled/Minorities/Veterans/WomenNexteer is an E-Verify employer.
