Equity Loan Processor

DescriptionGeneral AccountabilityThis position reports directly to the Equity Supervisor. Keeping up with volume and prioritizing tasks appropriately is a challenge in this position. Completing time-sensitive closing documents, disclosures, and satisfactions, setting up and servicing escrow accounts, ordering third party services, quoting and processing payoffs, filing, handling mail, and researching problems with existing loans. Must be able to communicate effectively with members, loan officers and attorneys. In processing, the individual must review documentation and obtain what is needed to clear the loan or to do the closing package. This position is responsible for teller activity on members’ accounts, withdrawing checks from general ledger accounts for various fees, and at times, doing accounts payable for the department expenses.Specific AccountabilitiesDeliver outstanding service to both internal and external service that meets or exceeds our Service PromisesMeet or exceed established sales and service goalsMust possess effective knowledge of the Credit Union’s products and servicesGenerating or obtaining equity loan applications from various sourcesOrder title work, property valuations, and flood certificationsComplete accurate loan-closing packages in a timely manner, following guidelines and compliance procedures for 17 statesCoordinate simultaneous closings with outside lendersCoordinate attorney loan closingsSend package to closing locationEnsure recording of security instruments and filing of loan documentsEnsure that Deeds of Trusts and Flood Certifications are cancelled for paid equity loansResponsible for quoting correct pay off information for all equity loansSetting up and servicing escrow accountsEnsure compliance with TRID, HMDA and other regulationsImplementation and testing of new loan products and updates in the loan origination system and core systemKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesExtensive knowledge of real estate lendingExcellent computer skills and typing skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience in several computer programsAbility to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to perform professionally and efficientlyExceptional attention to detail with willingness to further knowledgeExcellent problem solving skillsWorking within a team based environment with multiple departments, financial centers and outside vendors
