We believe our employees to be our most valuable asset, and we are committed to growing a diverse and inclusive culture that inspires, motivates, and continuously improves.Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.What You'll Do:Foreman:Enforce safety regulationsAct as the Superintendent's eyes and earsPossess the knowledge and skills to perform the tasks of a Carpenter and LaborerMonitor crew attendance and delegate responsibilitiesHave a strong work ethic and positive attitude to get the job doneWillingness to work long hours including weekends as neededBilingual is highly desiredCarpenter:Erect scaffolding, ladders and stairs for assembling structures, construct formwork, install wood blocking, operate saws, hammers, drills and other mechanical equipmentBuild, repair, and install counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, building framework, trim, assist with layout of formwork, partitions, etc.Install door frames, doors, and door hardwareComply with company policies, safety regulations, and building codesRead and examine blueprints and spec book to determine requirements and correct applicationsCarpenter Helper:Assist Carpenter with erecting scaffolding, ladders, and stairs for assembling structures, constructing concrete formwork, installing wood blocking, operating saws, hammers, drills, and other mechanical equipmentMix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry using hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper, or concrete-mixing machineAssist with preparation of concrete base including setting wood forms and positioning steel; measure and pour concrete; finish concrete; remove wooden forms and backfill; clean site; spread loamPerform a wide variety of technical and physical duties in the placement and finishing of concrete curb, slabs, and structuresAbility to operate machinery, hand and power tools of all types: saws, air hammers, tampers, cement mixers, floats and trowels, small mechanic hoists, jackhammers, generators and a variety of othersSignal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materialsAssist with layout and install templates of formwork, partitions, anchor bolts, etc.Read and examine blueprintsAccess confined spaces such as tunnels, shafts, or pitsLaborer:Signal and guide operator to lift and move loadsAssist carpenters with construction of formwork or other carpentry workAssist workers by moving machinery and equipment, or lifting and moving materialClean up debris and remove trashAssist with pouring concrete walls, floors, footings, etc.Push or pull loads as they are lowered and deposited in placeWhat We're Looking For:Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience, training, or applicable educationSkills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure; Ability to make complex cuts not to waste material and figure out complex forming systems; Training and complying with all safety rules; Ability to perform without constant supervisionLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with customers and co-workersPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, sit, stand and walk on uneven ground; use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; frequently make repetitive reaching and other movements with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee frequently is required to speak and listen and must regularly lift and/or move materials. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
