Environment Health Safety Lead
Position SummaryCANiK USA is seeking a hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to support safety and environmental compliance in a precision manufacturing environment. This role works directly on the production floor to ensure compliance with OSHA, HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT regulations while promoting a proactive, employee-focused safety culture.The ideal candidate is comfortable in a manufacturing setting involving machining, metal finishing, assembly operations, hazardous materials, and regulated waste streams.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain EHS programs in compliance with OSHA, HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT regulationsConduct routine safety inspections, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk assessmentsInvestigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; prepare reports and recommend corrective actionsServe as a point of contact for regulatory inspections and auditsCoordinate and deliver safety training (new hire, annual refreshers, task-specific training)Ensure employee certifications and training records are current and properly documentedPromote safety awareness through toolbox talks, signage, and safety meetingsManage hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal in compliance with RCRACoordinate hazardous materials transportation per DOT requirementsAssist with environmental reporting, permits, and waste minimization initiativesSupport emergency response planning, drills, and spill response activitiesAct as a member of the emergency response team as requiredEnsure availability and readiness of safety equipment and PPESupport continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and environmental performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and reduce EHS risksQualificationsBachelor's Degree PreferredCurrent certifications in:OSHA 30HAZWOPERRCRADOT Hazardous Materials3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentWorking knowledge of federal and state EHS regulationsStrong organizational, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to conduct training and influence safe behaviors across all levels of the organizationAccept a drug testJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
