Director of Accounting

If you are a seasoned accounting professional with a track record of success in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), advanced Excel skills, and experience working with private equity (PE) firms, we invite you to make a significant impact with us.Key Responsibilities:Design and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls. Experience with M&A and integration is essential.Manage General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets, and cash flow management. Familiarity with Business Central is a bonus.Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close processes, including financial reporting and variance analysis.Establish and maintain company-wide billing standards, manage invoicing processes, and ensure accurate revenue recognition.Oversee tax compliance, insurance requirements, and regulatory reporting. Manage communications related to compliance and audit readiness.Supervise daily accounting operations, including team management, training, and performance evaluation. Coordinate ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system integration and assess technology solutions for accounting functions.Utilize PowerBI to create and enhance dashboards and reporting tools. Experience with CieTrade is highly desirable.Support ongoing integration of acquired facilities and locations and manage financial aspects of growth and acquisition strategies.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership or supervisory role within a corporate setting.
