Financial Controller
One of Bend’s fastest growing companies is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team!What You Get to Do! The Controller is primarily responsible for the accurate tracking and communication of Company’s financial position, to inside and outside constituents. The controller will ensure that the Company’s financial outputs are (1) in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and (2) informative to partners and stakeholdersPlanning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functionsMaintaining and improving internal controlsEnsures accurate internal and external financial statements and presentations, reflecting the firm’s operationsEnsures processes that substantiate financials are performed at a level to mitigate risk and satisfy an audit by an independent accounting firmStructuring and maintaining managerial accounting practices and KPIsManages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial dataDevelops, monitors and summarizes business performance metrics in critical areas essential to the ongoing growth of the enterprisePartnering with StakeholdersJoins internal and external business partners in contributing to the success of company-wide and cross-functional initiativesEducates partners on downstream financial impacts of decisions under consideration and track results post implementationProcess ImprovementSeeks to drive continuous improvement through designing and reinforcing good and efficient accounting processesUnderstands the initiatives of business partners and seeks ways to contribute to their effortsCoordinates activities of external accounting auditorsOversees regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and complianceOversees daily workflow of the departmentMentors team to ensure redundancy of capabilities and development of talentWorks with colleagues across the firm to educate partner departments on accounting/finance needs and directivesOversees accounting training program and identifies training needsRecruits, interviews, hires and trains new staffProvides constructive and timely performance evaluationsHandles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policyWhat You Will Bring…Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting. Active CPA licensure preferred. Ten + years of proven accounting experience in a medium-large firmExperience in manufacturing and/or project-based accountingHas supervised audits conducted by a top 10 audit firmFirm understanding of financial and managerial accounting principlesExperience architecting and implementing an ERP transformation a strong plusSAP fluency a strong advantageSolid working knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Ability to close a monthly period’s financial results and presentation without difficultyStrong facility with usage, design, and improvement of accounting software and enterprise systems.
