Working at HiTek Services offers exposure to advanced prototyping workflows and a mission-driven environment that values precision, integrity, and innovation.Role Description We are seeking an experienced, technically capable Program Manager to lead quoting, order execution, and customer technical support for our PCB assembly and wire harness division. The ideal candidate will combine electrical engineering knowledge with practical manufacturing experience, be comfortable reading and interpreting electrical schematics and assembly drawings, and be able to produce accurate quotes and RFQ responses. Experience in ISO 9001 quality systems and familiarity with defense contract requirements is strongly preferred.Key responsibilities:Generate accurate, competitive quotes and RFQ responses for PCB assembly and wire harness projects, including BOM cost analysis, labor estimation, tooling/setup, and freight/overhead.Review customer drawings, electrical schematics, Gerbers, pick-and-place files, BOMs, and assembly instructions to define manufacturing requirements and flag potential issues.Act as primary technical point of contact for customers; answer questions on build methods, materials, connector types, wire routing, harness assemblies, test points, and manufacturability.Create and maintain job travelers, work instructions, and production documentation for PCBA and harness builds.Coordinate production scheduling, material procurement, and shop floor resources to meet delivery dates while optimizing cost and throughput.Work with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead-time info, and resolve component sourcing issues.Oversee inspection, test planning and execution (e.g., ICT, functional test, continuity checks), and ensure products meet quality and customer specifications.Support and maintain ISO 9001-compliant processes and documentation: nonconformance reporting (NCR), corrective actions (CAPA), document control, and internal audits as required.Ensure compliance with any applicable defense/DFARS/ITAR requirements if engaged in defense projects (preferred).Provide process improvement recommendations and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Provide periodic reports on project status, cost performance, and delivery milestones to leadership.Required qualificationsBachelor’s degree. Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical/engineering experience.5+ years’ experience in PCB assembly and wire harness manufacturing, quoting, and shop floor coordination (or equivalent combination of experience and education).Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB fabrication/assembly data, BOMs, connector pinouts, and harness drawings.Proven experience preparing quotes and RFQ responses for PCBA and wire harness projects, including cost breakdowns and lead-time estimates.Solid understanding of assembly processes: SMT, through-hole soldering, wave solder, cable crimping, solderless terminals, hand assembly, and harness routing/strain relief.Familiarity with test methods (ICT, functional test, continuity, cable harness verification).Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment with practical exposure to quality documentation, CAPA, NCR, and audits.Strong communication skills for technical interactions with customers, suppliers, and internal team members.Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects with small-team resources.Proficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred qualificationsExperience in defense/aerospace manufacturing or working with defense primes (knowledge of DFARS, ITAR, and related flow-downs).Hands-on working experience on the production floor (soldering, rework, harness assembly) to better assess manufacturability.Familiarity with surface mount/through-hole pick-and-place files, Gerber viewers, and PCB quoting tools.Prior small-company or startup manufacturing experience where cross-functional responsibilities and flexibility are required.Compensation & benefitsCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience).Benefits package: [health/dental/vision insurance, retirement plan, paid time off — customize per company offering].Opportunity for career growth and leadership within a small, collaborative team.Hands-on, impactful role with direct influence on company processes and customer satisfaction.How to apply:Please send your resume, a brief cover letter describing relevant PCBA/wire harness/project management experience, and examples of quoting or project work (if available) to: Tim_McFarland@hitek-services.com.
