HR Recruiting Specialist

Job Title: Recruiting SpecialistStatus: Hourly (Non-Exempt)Location: Alexandria, MNSchedule: Full-Time | Year-Round, 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, additional hours as needed during busier periodsPosition SummaryThe Recruiting Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the full-cycle recruiting and onboarding process to support CSI’s seasonal and year-round workforce. This role plays a critical part in attracting, hiring, and retaining a qualified workforce to meet operational demands across multiple job sites.This position partners closely with field leadership and internal teams to identify hiring needs, ensure a consistent and efficient hiring process, and deliver a positive new hire experience. In addition to recruiting, the role supports training coordination, compliance tracking, and employee engagement efforts. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal construction environment.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & HiringCollaborate on full-cycle recruiting for seasonal and year-round positionsCoordinate and attend job fairs, hiring events, and outreach effortsPartner with supervisors to identify and select qualified candidatesMaintain a consistent and efficient hiring processOnboarding & New Hire ExperienceCoordinate and conduct new hire orientationManage pre-employment processes (background checks, drug screens, etc.)Ensure I-9 compliance and accurate employee documentationTraining & ComplianceCoordinate training programsTrack training certificationsMaintain training records and support audit readinessSystems & ReportingMaintain employee data within HR systems (BambooHR)Monitor MVR and training recordsAssist with reporting related to hiring, onboarding, and workforce metricsEmployee SupportConduct new hire check-ins and support engagement effortsServe as a resource for employees on onboarding and administrative questionsQualifications2+ years of recruiting, HR, or administrative experienceCandidate sourcing experience (Indeed, LinkedIn, social media platforms, Google, etc.)Strong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a seasonal businessEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with HR systems (BambooHR preferred)Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPointValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordCompensation & BenefitsPay Range: $26.00 - $31.00/hour ($54,080 – $64,480 annually, depending on experience)Benefits Include:Health, Vision and Dental InsuranceShort-Term Disability & Basic Life Insurance401(k) with Company Match & Profit SharingHealth Savings Account (HSA)Paid Time Off & Paid HolidaysBusiness casual office environmentElectronic Direct DepositCentral Specialties is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, status as a protected veteran or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.
