Mobile Wastewater Operator $5K SIGN ON BONUS!

In this position, you will monitor and adjust the various treatment processes to ensure compliance with all permits and regulatory agencies. The mobile wastewater operator collects and records data and wastewater samples from their assigned facilities. The operator performs preventative maintenance on equipment as per the operations and maintenance manuals for the contracted facilities. The mobile wastewater operator should have at least a CA Grade 3 wastewater treatment license for this role. The mobile wastewater operator is an independent and well-organized self-starter who can manage his or her schedule to complete assigned site coverage requirements as noted below.Grade 3 - 5 Wastewater Operator- $5K SIGN ON BONUS!Duties And Responsibilities:Perform critical testing of facility operations, such as PH, dissolved oxygen, chlorine, etc., in order to monitor system conditionComplete Discharge Monitoring Reports as required by facilities permitsPerform general preventative maintenance on treatment plant equipment such as blower oil, filter and belt changes and pulling and inspecting submersible pumps, etc. (Further defined below in addendum A)Maintain complete, accurate, legible records of all phases of facility operationsMaintain complete, accurate, legible records of all equipment and plant maintenanceAssist to prepare monthly written operating report based on facility's operation and/or maintenance records for the client, employer or regulatory agency as requiredInform Supervisor in a timely manner of plant problems, upsets, plant expansion, repairs, etc.Work conscientiously, adhere to EH&S policies and processes, and be aware of and report safety hazardsRequired to be part of a 24 hour on call rotationBe prepared to discuss in a professional manner the plant operations with employer, client, visitors or regulatory personnelCollect required samples, log in samples correctly and accurately, and submit samples to laboratory and review results to ensure permit complianceOperate plants to meet all regulatory guidelines and responsibilitiesAssist maintenance personnel with pump, blower, motor, valve, etc. removalMaintain accurate records for gasoline, mileage, timesheets, expenses, etc.Work scheduled weekends and occasional holidays for assigned routeProject a positive image to operators, clients, regulatory agencies, engineers, etc.Confined Space Entry - this may be required on occasion after thorough training provided by NSUPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementQualifications:Must be 21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required1 year of wastewater experience required40-hour work week: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30 pm (30 minute lunch)Must be available to work weekends and holidays as requestedOvertime as requiredAvailable for emergency situationsAvailable for a 24 hour on call rotationCertificates, licenses, and registrations:Valid CA Driver's LicenseCA Grade 2 or higher Wastewater license requiredMicrosoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience preferredWhat We Offer:Top-Tier Benefits: We offer comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance to keep you and your family healthy.Employer-Paid Basic Life Insurance: Your peace of mind matters, and we provide employer-paid life insurance to protect you and your loved ones.Disability Coverage: With both short-term and long-term disability coverage, you can feel secure knowing you're supported during difficult times.Tuition Reimbursement: We are committed to helping you enhance your career.
