Test Engineer, AXI

Overview To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Engineer, AXI in Milpitas, CA. You will implement and maintain cost-effective testing and troubleshooting methods for systems, software, and equipment in a high-volume manufacturing setting. You’ll operate Vitrox and Omron AXI equipment, analyze defect images, and drive root-cause actions to improve yield and quality. You’ll apply PCB/SMT knowledge and IPC standards to identify issues and lead continuous improvements. You’ll collaborate across functions to resolve technical challenges and support business objectives. Compensation / Benefitsmedical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition Reimbursement ResponsibilitiesSupport daily AXI operations and testing activities in a high-volume manufacturing environment to meet production, quality, and customer requirements.Operate and support Vitrox and Omron AXI equipment; analyze AXI failure images, differentiate true defects from false failures, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with manufacturers as needed.Review, develop, and optimize X-ray inspection programs to improve defect detection, reduce escapes, and boost yield.Apply PCB/SMT manufacturing knowledge, IPC standards, and soldering defect analysis to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.Perform product debugging, failure analysis, and test support using diagnostic tools to ensure reliable performance and efficient issue resolution.Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, suppliers, and customers; communicate findings and support business objectives.
