Oil & Gas Safety Consultant

Our client is looking for a hands-on Lean operations consultant for a 6-month project focused on improving safety and standardizing field execution across contractor-heavy industrial operations.The client is not looking for a pure safety technical advisor.They are looking for someone who can deploy Lean practices in the field, create and implement standard work, and help reduce inconsistent contractor practices that are contributing to safety incidents.The consultant will work onsite with field teams and contractors to implement SOPs / Standard Work Instructions, improve daily management routines, reinforce consistent work practices, and support safety improvement initiatives through a Lean operating framework.Key responsibilities:Deploy Lean and continuous improvement practices across field operations and contractor teamsDevelop and implement SOPs, Standard Work Instructions, and standardized field processesConduct field observations, daily management routines, and contractor engagement activities to reinforce consistent executionIdentify workflow, process, and safety gaps and drive corrective actions through practical field-level improvementsPartner with site leadership and contractors to improve operational discipline, reduce variation, and strengthen safety performanceIdeal Candidate:Senior Lean / continuous improvement practitioner with hands-on field deployment experienceExperience creating and implementing SOPs, Standard Work Instructions, daily management routines, and Lean milestone-based executionStrong safety mindset, ideally with experience in heavy industrial, construction, manufacturing, energy, or contractor-heavy environmentsProject details:Start: JuneDuration: 6 monthsTime commitment: 5 days per weekLocation: On site in the U.S.; North Dakota preferred.
