Accounting Lead / Sr. Financial AnalystPosition Overview:Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its finance and accounting team in Cookeville, Tennessee. This is an onsite role for someone who is a strong accountant at the core, enjoys owning the details, and wants to support multiple manufacturing sites in a hands-on finance and accounting capacity.This position will function as a key finance partner for two manufacturing locations, serving as the primary accounting and financial support resource for those sites. The role will own close activities, journal entries, monthly checklists, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and site-level financial support. The right person will operate with an ownership mindset for the locations they support and be the main point of contact for sites’ Accounting partnership.The ideal candidate will bring strong debits and credits knowledge, good time management, and the ability to stay organized while being pulled into multiple priorities. This person will also support special projects and act as a trusted right hand to sr. finance leadership as the business continues to improve processes, reporting, and site support.This is a strong fit for someone who wants meaningful ownership without the expectation of long, excessive hours. The team is onsite, collaborative, and values people who show up, communicate well, and take pride in accurate, dependable work.Key Responsibilities:Own close-related accounting activities for assigned manufacturing sites, including journal entries, monthly checklists, account review, and reporting support.Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely follow-up on open items.Serve as a key finance contact for site leaders and General Managers at assigned locations.Support financial reporting for multiple business units and help ensure results are accurate, timely, and clearly communicated.Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, asset placement in service, disposals, and coordination with site teams.Support site-level manufacturing accounting activities, including cost-related analysis, inventory-related questions, and operational financial support.Assist with hedge-related accounting entries, including journal entries tied to currency hedging activity managed by the broader organization.Analyze financial statements, account activity, and operating results to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audit requests.Support finance leadership with special projects, process improvements, reporting needs, and business initiatives.Help identify opportunities to improve cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and financial processes across assigned sites.Partner with centralized finance resources where needed, while staying focused on site accounting, close, reporting, and fixed asset responsibilities.Work within Syteline and other reporting tools to gather, validate, and analyze financial information.Communicate clearly with finance teammates, site leaders, and operational stakeholders on priorities, open items, and deadlines.Support additional accounting, finance, and operational initiatives as business needs evolve.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.3 to 5 years of accounting, financial analysis, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance experience preferred.Strong accounting foundation required, including a clear understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements.Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.Cost accounting experience preferred, even if not the primary focus of prior roles.Experience supporting monthly close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.Fixed asset accounting experience preferred, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.Experience working with ERP systems required; Syteline experience preferred.Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and site requests without losing accuracy.Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, reliable work.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working onsite in a team-based office environment.Self-directed, organized, and able to take ownership with limited handholding.What Naturally Makes You a Good Fit:You are a strong accountant who enjoys understanding how the numbers flow.You naturally build meaningful relationships and strong partnerships at work.You know debits and credits well and can spot when something does not make sense.You like closing the loop and keeping work organized.You are comfortable supporting site leaders and helping them understand financial information.You can manage several priorities at once without becoming scattered.You enjoy being the person finance leadership can trust with special projects.You are hands-on and do not view journal entries or reconciliations as beneath you.You are curious about manufacturing and how site activity connects to the financials.You work well in an onsite team environment and value good communication.You are dependable, steady, and able to keep things moving without needing constant follow-up.You want meaningful ownership while still maintaining a reasonable work-life balance.Benefits of working with the team:As a valued member of the team, you will receive a competitive compensation package, with base compensation between $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and alignment with the role.
